Adam's mom Kim has been a rehabber for 2 years and as soon as Adam turned 16, he applied for his permit as well. Sharing his mom's lifelong love of animals, he plans to be a veterinarian one day, currently caring for squirrels, opossums, and raccoons. When Adam's not saving wildlife, he's a junior in high school, a volunteer public educator for the Virginia Beach Aquarium, an academic tutor for grade school children at a local elementary school, and a member of the Virginia Beach Noble Teens organization - a student run philanthropic club that provides local teens the opportunity to perform hands-on "noble deeds" for others in his local area. It sounds to us like his mom is spot on when she describes Adam as having a huge heart and a great deal of compassion for those in need - human, feathered or furred.
