After saving two surviving members of a opossum litter when their mom was hit by a car, Amanda vowed to learn all she could about the species in order to help them. When word spread that she was helping animals in need, more began arriving at her door. She now cares for squirrels and opossums and is starting an educational program to teach children the importance of all animals. Amanda believes that every animal deserves mercy, comfort, and a chance to live their life as nature intended.
