Amy is a retired police officer with 24 years of service, half of which with the Mounted Patrol where she had a thrilling career with a horse as her partner. She had worked with animals most of her life (horses and dogs) but never birds -- and then she saw her wildlife rehabber friend helping injured birds and was fascinated. She contacted him, asked if he ever needed help and he accepted her offer. She has been assisting him ever since with owls, hawks, herons, vultures, songbirds, egrets, grebes, cormorants and most migratory birds. On her first day, in addition to seeing first hand what it takes to care for several critical cases, Amy also had the chance to see a Baby Warm incubator in use helping a critically injured owl. As she embarks on her wildlife rehabilitation journey, having her own Baby Warm incubator will be a tremendous help.
