In 1994, Anna's daughter found 3 injured ducks at the local park. Anna caught them brought them home and cared for them but some of the injuries were beyond what she knew how to care for. She found someone who "rehabilitated wildlife" (the only person back then) and was amazed at what he did to save animals that would have been euthanized had he not been willing help them. Anna volunteered with him for 2 years and has been helping wildlife ever since -- raccoons, opossums, crows, bobcats, coyotes and songbirds. She believes that she found and fell into a profession that needed her, and vice versa. As long as Anna can do something to help injured and orphaned wildlife, she will.
