Ashley grew up as an only lonely child on a 200 acre tobacco farm in Bahama, NC. She was always finding baby animals in need. With no neighborhood kids to play with, nothing was more exciting for her than to be out of school for summer, finding a litter of puppies or kittens and helping those in need. Later in life, one of Ashley's rescued dogs was attacked by an animal with a paw print she had never seen before. She asked her vet and they recommended she ask a licensed wildlife rehabber. Ashley had no idea there was such a title but once she knew, it set her on a new path. Ashley now cares for squirrels, rabbits, opossums, flying squirrels, and some birds, and she doesn't let her Muscular Dystrophy stop her from doing all she can to save animals. Ashley has always believed that God places them there for her to try and help them. An incubator will help her save the most fragile babies in her care.
