As a former school teacher and military spouse, Brigette and her family are all about giving back to the community. There was a huge void in her community when it came to wildlife care so she decided to take it on herself. Brigette now cares for skunks, groundhogs, opossums, bats, squirrels, foxes and raccoons - about 150 every year, mostly babies. She loves not just helping animals but also helping humans see wildlife in a different light. She wants children to be excited about wildlife and, in the future, help to protect them. For Brigette, wildlife rehabbing isn't just about the daily care of animals, it's also about being an advocate for wildlife.
