Carole found her first orphaned baby after Hurricane Frederic in 1979 when she was a young girl. That baby squirrel was successfully released her back into the wild where she went on to have babies of her own. Years later Carole joined Wildlife Rehab and Greenville and was shocked that a "newbie" could keep pinkies alive. For the past 7 years, she has cared for opossums and raccoons, about 100 per year. She's also a full time mom of 5 boys who are learning the importance of wildlife in the company of all of Carole's fur baby fosters.
