Ceacy has been a farmer for 40 years and has always been a passionate advocate for animals. Knowing there is a shortage of wildlife rehabbers in her area to care for bats, she took a course last winter, then her exam in April, and by May she was already swamped with bats in need of help. With the loss of millions of bats as a result of white nose syndrome, Ceacy's determined to make a difference. Her goal is to create an isolation unit to help bats recovering from this horrible disease, particularly the Little Brown bat which is now on the endangered species list in Massachusetts. These amazing animals are too important to our ecosystem to not do all we can to save them.
