While going through a personally difficult time, Christine found an orphaned baby raccoon who needed her help. She couldn’t find a rehabber who would accept raccoons but she refused to give up on the baby and took the caregiving job on herself. Christine says she and that baby truly saved each other, and ever since that day, her commitment to saving raccoons has been unwavering. Three years later, she now takes in multiple orphaned raccoon litters as well as adults who need help. Her incubator will help stabilize neonates and keep these sweet babies warm and healthy until they’re well enough to thermoregulate on their own.
