Crystal believes that caring for all living creatures is in her nature. It's not something she just started doing, it's who she is. As soon as she was old enough to ask for a pet, she did but her mother made Crystal wait until she was old enough to take on the responsibility of caring for the pet as well. The wait made her appreciate pets even more. At the age of 16 she began working at an animal clinic as well as at the humane society. She now works as a school bus operator which leaves her plenty of time to care for injured and orphaned animals. Everyone knows to bring animals in need to Crystal and she doesn't mind giving round the clock care. She rehabilitates opossums, squirrels, deer and rabbits. Crystal says that caring for animals, and watching them grow and thrive, gives her great satisfaction and a sense of purpose that nothing else can.
