Deanna has worked with animals since she was 15, starting at a local animal hospital and later becoming a vet tech. In 2005 when a baby raccoon needed help and had nowhere else to go, Deanna took on the task of saving him. She said she found her calling that day and as a result became a licensed rehabber. She cares for skunks, possums, squirrels, bunnies, groundhogs, chipmunks, fox, coyote, porcupine and more but specializes in raccoons as there's such a great need in her area. Like many rehabbers, she works another job to help pay for her baby formula and supplies. As an Animal Control Officer, she's the first to respond when wildlife are in need. Combining her "day job" with her love of wildlife rehabilitation, she's able to get animals all the care they need.
