A baby opossum was brought in to the animal hospital where Elizabeth works. As she had a lot of experience with neonates, she was asked if she was willing to raise the baby. Elizabeth said she would try but couldn't promise success. She named him Oswald, carried him around in her sports bra to keep him warm, and he thrived. When he was successfully released, Elizabeth knew she couldn't just stop there. She now cares for opossums, squirrels, rabbits, deer, and domestic neonates as well. Between her work at the animal hospital and her after hours wildlife rehabbing, her life is devoted to animals who need a helping hand.
