Erica H.

Erica wanted to become a wildlife rehabber since childhood. She would spend many hours walking the woods, just looking for a glimpse of wildlife in its natural habitat. She loved visiting nature centers and did that often with her grandfather. They had a wildlife rehabber in their neighborhood and Erica would spend time just watching her take care for all the little orphans. She knew that someday when she grew up she wanted to be that person. She would go on to work most of her adult life in the animal field -- working for an animal hospital, owning her own pet supply business, and doing volunteer work. Over the past 13 years, Erica has been happily retired and has been able to care for her farm and the many rescues that have needed a place to land. It also has given her the time to finally pursue her dream of rehabilitating wildlife. Erica says that it's the most rewarding thing she has done and her only regret is that she did not do it sooner. She has now passed the exam and is finishing up her hours under a licensed wildlife rehabber who also uses a Baby Warm incubator, a very important item in keeping those babies warm. Erica cannot wait to set up her own rehab up and soon be caring for all of the injured and orphaned wildlife who need her. She is happy to say that she is fulfilling her dream
