Georgia was raised on a farm where she was taught love and compassion for all animals. Her job was to turn the eggs in the incubator every day, so when they hatched she considered every baby hers and cared for them accordingly. When she was 11 years old, her dad found an eyes-closed baby squirrel in the woods and brought it home. Georgia put the baby in a doll suitcase on a heating pad and raised the squirrel to adulthood. Fast forward to recent years when she began volunteering with a local rehabber and doing rescue for a wildlife rescue group. Georgia obtained her permit and now cares for tree squirrels, flying squirrels, skunks, cottontails, opossums, groundhogs, mice, bats, beavers, mink, and fawns. An incubator will be a tremendous help in caring for the tiniest orphaned babies.
