About 35 years ago, a lady came up to Gwen with 5 baby opossums and asked if she would take care of them. She said yes. More injured and animals would follow and Gwen's heart just wouldn't let her turn them away. Decades later, Gwen and her daughter care for about 300 wildlife babies each year -- rabbits, squirrels, opossums, turtles, tortoises, and other reptiles. Gwen says this is what she loves doing and it keeps her young. She is dedicating the remainder of her life to making sure that the wild is still able to exist for the future.
