Growing up, Holly's family saved any animals that needed help. Later in life, she volunteered at a wildlife clinic and loved it but it was too far from her home and her work schedule made continuing impossible. When an opportunity came up to work with a rehabber at her house and join a 24 hour hotline, Holly jumped at the chance. She thought she would just help out permitted rehabbers but after a year she knew she wanted her own permit. Holly now cares for mostly for squirrels, raccoons, opossums, foxes, but she can also do bobcats, skunks, groundhogs, bats and everything except deer. She says it has been the most rewarding thing she has ever done. This spring she has had several neonate squirrels and it made her realize that those babies would have benefited from an incubator.
