A volunteer firefighter and ambulance driver, James attended a few different wildlife events and loved seeing people work with animals. With a lifelong love of animals, he thought he'd give it a try. He talked to rehabbers at Wild Kritters about getting started and has since become state and federally licensed to rehabilitate wildlife. In his third year, James now cares for squirrels, opossums, mink (pictured), cottontail rabbits, fox, owls and hummingbirds. He says it is by far one of the best and most rewarding decisions he has ever made. His experiences with injured and orphaned animals are truly amazing and inspire him to help wildlife all the more.
