When Jill was in college, she saw a small sparrow get hit by a car. She called everywhere to find a place to help him and finally found the wildlife center. After dropping him off, she took their card -- unsure of what compelled her to put it in her wallet. That card stayed there untouched for a year but Jill continued to think about the wonderful place that cared for animals that would otherwise die. She had a little internal voice telling her to call. Jill applied for an internship and 16 years later, she's now the director of that center, caring for as many as 4000 animals in a year - just about all native Pennsylvania birds, mammals and reptiles. It all started with a little injured sparrow and now Jill has found her calling.
