Karen S.

Karen has always connected with animals and has both volunteered and worked with various Humane Societies and rescues for decades. She lives in an area that only has one licensed rehabber who handles over 1100 animals a year. Karen was thrilled to have that rehabber accept her as a trainee. Wildlife is abundant in their area and she wants to do as much as possible to help care for those critters impacted by the tourism in the area (ie raccoons displaced because they chose to give birth in empty cabin attics, raise orphans whose mamas have been killed in traffic) and also help educate people on living in harmony with wildlife. Karen says that she can't think of any better way to give back to her community and the animals she loves.
