Kathy will never forget the first orphaned baby raccoon she rescued and named "Stormy" after the events that separated the fragile baby from her mom. Kathy kept running blankets through the dryer and knows how much an incubator could have helped with that baby and the up to 50 others she cares for each year. Specializing in squirrel and raccoon neonates, Kathy has been rehabbing for 4 years, ever since a conversation with a wildlife rehabber inspired her. She's now one of a network of individually licensed rehabbers who work under the banner of Wing It (Wildlife in Need Group). Being a wildlife rehabber is non-paying and more than full time but, Kathy says, it completes her.
