Growing up, Kim always had a passion for rescuing animals. More recently, the need for more wildlife rehabbers in her area was great and so many animals had to be transported sometimes over an hour away to get help. Frustrated with the lack of help for these babies, Kim stepped up and began rehabbing. She has worked under several different rehabbers to learn more and also became specialized in turtles and tortoises. In addition to taking care of the animals, Kim has made eduction a high priority. She the founder and director of Swamp Girl Adventures , a non-profit dedicated to educating the public about wildlife and helping animals in need. She started the organization back in 2009 and they have since reached millions of people with their programs and videos.
