Landa B.

$1 of $1 raised

As a child, Landa drove her parents crazy bringing home orphaned animals. Years would pass but she never lost her love for animals. Landa met a lady who shared her love of skunks in particular and she in turn introduced Landa to the director of a wildlife center in a nearby town. Landa was so excited and took her seminars right away. She loved the hands-on nature of making a baby squirrel or raccoon feel safe and warm. Yes, she knew it wasn't all glamorous, with cleaning of cages, baby butts and wounds, but says that it's all worth it when you see them run free. When Landa's hands aren't full of babies, she also loves teaching her grandchildren about native wildlife. She hopes they will grow up to respect our world and co-exist with the wild.
