Larry's love of animals began at the age of 5 with his grandmother on the Southern Ute reservation. His background and family are Native American (Apache/Cheyenne) and with that came the respect and responsibility to care for all wildlife and help maintain a healthy balance. After serving 32 years with the U.S. Army, Larry applied for and obtained State and Federal licenses. He now cares for about 200 animals each year ~ all migratory birds, including Eagles, as well as mammals and rabies species. In his 18th year of of volunteer rehabbing, Larry covers approximately 10 counties in south-central Virginia, remaining available 24/7 for any animal who needs a helping hand.
