In the late 80s and early 90s habitat loss was becoming a big problem in Linda's Pennsylvania home town. A woman nearby had invested her sizable inheritance into studying wildlife and their care. She would become Linda's mentor as they worked together with 40+ volunteers, taking in over 2000 animals a season. Linda learned so much working with vets and wildlife officers and that continues today. In her 30th year of rehabbing, she cares for squirrels, opossums, rabbits, cottontails, song birds, raptors, reptiles/amphibians. It's so important for Linda not just to recognize the importance of the wildlife but also to be on the front lines for human/wildlife issues as well.
