Megan started wildlife rehab when her mother started her own rescue. Helping animals is how her mother survived losing Megan's younger sister to a car accident several years before, and Megan thought it had helped her make it through as well. She began by helping her with feedings, cleaning and releasing animals back into the wild and was absolutely fascinated with everything about it. Megan's experience would soon come in handy because her boyfriend owns a tree business and would sometimes come across orphaned squirrels. There is a great need for more wildlife rehabbers in their area so Megan stepped in to help. She received her license for small mammals last spring and now cares for squirrels, rabbits, opossums, groundhogs, and any birds that she can legally help. Megan feels that she has found her purpose in life helping these precious wild creatures.
