Monica was working at a vet clinic when a lady came into the clinic and handed her a tiny baby opossum thinking it was a rat. Monica had no idea what it was so naturally she took her home and named her Lulu. After lots of research, Monica was able to successfully raise Lulu until she was old enough to be released with the assistance of a local rehabber. That wonderful rehabber became her mentor and thanks to her vast knowledge, wisdom and guidance, Monica now cares mostly for opossums but also some squirrels, skunks, baby birds, and other little ones who need a helping hand. In addition to caring for animals in need, Monica's goal as a rehabber is also to educate people and encourage them to be kind to all of God's creatures.
