Natalie spent 8 years in the USMCR. She started rehabbing late in life so she tells kids to never give up on your dreams. She started with squirrels but when the head of the rehab group asked her to assist with a hawk, she was immediately hooked on raptors. She did internships to get both her rehabilitation and education permits and now cares for hawks, owls and falcons. Natalie says that God has blessed her with being around children and people of all ages through the education part of Upstate Birds of Prey. She truly believes that saving birds of prey does more for her life than it does for them.
