Rebecca M.

$689 of $689 raised

Rebecca was farm raised her whole life with horses, pigs, goats, sheep, and chickens. They had a beautiful forest just a short walk from the house where she would get lost admiring the various native species, including a small herd of deer that visited regularly. She went to college and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Animal Science. During this time in college, she worked her first real job as a vet tech until she lost taste for the practice. Rebecca spent those 4 years exploring different careers working with animals until she realized wildlife is her passion. Now she provides wholehearted expert care for injured and orphaned wildlife, and lives out her passion every day. She chose rehabbing because it has given her more joy than any of her past endeavors, and it empowers her to educate the community. Rebecca is proud to have impacted the lives of hundreds of native animals. She is a firm believer in wildlife rehabilitation. When performed correctly, rehabilitation has proven to positively affect the biodiversity in her local ecosystem. She enjoys getting to see first hand the impact their program has.
