A former Marine, Rick has loved animals his entire life. When his kids grew up and moved, he naturally filled the void with his love for animals. He started rehabbing with a group then eventually obtained his own license and opened Wild and Exotic Rescue Center. Rick helps over 300 animals each year -- not only wildlife (birds, squirrels, raccoons, opossum, cottontails, groundhogs and raptors) but also unwanted exotic pets. He's fortunate to have supportive friends and family, including his curious and helpful grandchildren. Rick has had many jobs over the years but says that none are as rewarding as caring for animals in need.
