Sarah K.

$1 of $1 raised

In the spring of 1990, Sarah's aunt found a baby squirrel in her yard. Sarah took the baby to a wildlife rehabber, saw what she did and was hooked. The rehabber told Sarah to return to the location where the baby was found and look for more. Sarah did and found 2 more babies. Since then she has raised all kinds of small mammals and birds such as squirrels, opossums, bunnies, raccoons, songbirds, ducks, geese, and she has also helped hawks and owls recover from trauma. She never knew there was so much wildlife out there that needed help until she started rehabbing. Sarah has met so many caring people and made a lot of friends along the way. Animals are her passion and with all the hard work, sleepless nights, she would not have it any other way. She says that the reward of releasing that animal is the best feeling in the world.
