Thirty years ago, Susan found a starling hatchling who had fallen from his nest in her chimney. She took him in, cared for the baby and raised him until he was strong enough to be released back into the wild. An injured great horned owl was her next patient and before long, a large rehabilitation facility grew. Susan now cares for injured and orphaned birds but she also finds that other animals in need often come her way. A lifelong animal lover, she'll do all she can for any in need.
