I first became aware of wildlife rehabilitation while volunteering at a local animal shelter. I was fascinated to learn that there were people and organizations dedicated to caring for and rehabilitating wild animals. Intrigued, I signed up to volunteer—and that decision changed my life.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to have incredible mentors, some of whom have become my closest friends. Yes, I willingly spent countless hours each week doing laundry, washing dishes, and cleaning cages—all so I could be part of the rehabilitation process and learn more about the incredible animals we share this planet with.

It’s been a deeply rewarding experience, and one I never tire of. Each moment spent helping wildlife heal has strengthened my passion and commitment to this important work.
