I started my wildlife rehab career at a young age, volunteering with a local rehabber to gather my ‘Bright Futures’ hours. I was no stranger to helping wildlife in need, having seen my parents help wildlife many times when I was a child. My passion for rehab blossomed and I began volunteering as a mentee, gathering experience and taking every opportunity to learn more. Now, I am affiliated with multiple rescues across three counties and I work with non-releasable resident wildlife, in addition to taking special case rehab patients. Additionally, I recently noticed the gap in rehabbers who can do baby bats. After assisting my first pair of bat pups, I’ve decided to begin training on hand rearing these amazing critters.
