I first got into squirrel rehabilitation because of the squirrels in my own yard. I started feeding them and became fascinated with their personalities and daily routines. When one of them was injured and clearly needed help, I reached out to Wisconsin WildCare for guidance. That call changed my life—I met their squirrel coordinator, Jami, we fell in love, and now we rehab squirrels together, from tiny neonates to full-grown adults, giving them a second chance at life.
