I have spent my life working with animals whether it was as a “barn rat” at the local barn mucking out stalls when I was 10 years old, working as a kennel attendant for the MSPCA while in high school, later becoming a dog/cat groomer and ultimately owning my own mobile grooming business or becoming a certified veterinary technician in midlife. As a CVT, I gained some experience with wildlife rehabilitation and always having had a love of wildlife the thought of becoming a wildlife rehabilitator was something that stayed with me until this year when I turned the thought into a reality.
