After finishing my biology degree, I did a number of internships all over, including Belize, Costa Rica, Texas and Toronto, working with rehabilitation animals of all kinds. After interning at Toronto Wildlife Centre for 6 months, they offered me a summer staff position, from which I was hired on full time, and worked my way up to senior supervisor. When I got sick of the big city, I moved out to Vancouver Island, and got a position at MARS, where I took over as manager in 2025.
