I got into wildlife rehabilitation because caring for things that need help is simply part of who I am. It’s in my DNA. From moving worms off hot sidewalks to stopping for injured wildlife, I’ve always felt deeply compelled to help when something is vulnerable or struggling.
Over time, that instinct grew into something bigger. What started as helping whenever and however I could became Feral Roots Wildlife Rehab, where I now care for orphaned and injured wildlife — especially the small, fragile animals that are often overlooked. Wildlife rehab is exhausting, emotional, and unpredictable, but helping an animal heal and return to the wild is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever experienced.
