I got into wildlife rehabilitation because I simply couldn't look away when an animal needed help. What started with helping a single injured or orphaned wild animal quickly became a calling that has grown into a deep commitment to giving wildlife a second chance.

Every animal that comes into my care has a story. Some have been displaced by storms, others have been injured by vehicles, domestic pets, habitat loss, or human activity. They arrive scared, vulnerable, and completely dependent on someone willing to step in. Being able to provide that care—whether it's feeding an orphaned baby every few hours, treating injuries, or preparing an animal for release back into the wild—is both an incredible responsibility and an honor.

Wildlife rehabilitation is much more than rescuing animals. It requires constant learning, specialized training, collaboration with veterinarians and other rehabilitators, and an unwavering commitment to doing what is best for the animal. I've dedicated myself to building the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to provide the highest standard of care because every successful release represents a life returned to where it belongs.

Along the way, I've also discovered how important education is. Every rescue is an opportunity to help people better understand the wildlife that shares our communities and how simple actions can prevent injuries and conflicts. By educating others, I hope to create a future where fewer animals need rehabilitation in the first place.

My goal is to continue expanding my rehabilitation efforts so I can help more native wildlife, improve the quality of care I provide, and ensure that every animal that comes through my doors has the best possible chance at returning to the wild. This isn't just something I do—it's a mission that has become a central part of my life, and I'm committed to serving both the animals and the community for years to come.
