This incubator campaign was for the TLC-30 Advanced model

$315 of $315 raised

How will this additional incubator help?

Newborn wildlife often needs to be fed every 2–3 hours around the clock. A portable travel incubator would make it possible for me to bring these fragile babies with me while I work, allowing me to accept newborns that I have previously had to turn away because of the demanding feeding schedule.
Although I work for myself and have some flexibility in my schedule, it has not been feasible to continually travel home to provide feedings throughout the day. Having a portable incubator would allow me to keep these babies safely with me while continuing to work.
The incubator would provide another critical benefit: consistent, appropriate warmth during transportation. Newborn wildlife cannot regulate thier own body temperature and can quickly develop life-threatening hypothermia. Simply wrapping a newborn in blankets is not enough. By the time many babies reach a wildlife rehabilitator, they are already dangerously cold.
This incubator plugs directly into a vehicle and is small enough to transport easily. If I receive a call about a newborn in need, I would be able to begin warming the baby immediately while transporting them to safety. That early intervention can make a significant difference.
The incubator would also be extremely valuable when transporting injured or ill wildlife for veterinary care, whether to a local veterinarian or for longer-distance trips, including transportation to Cornell when specialized care is needed.
This small piece of equipment would have a tremendous impact on the number of newborn and critically ill wildlife I can safely take in and care for. It would allow me to respond more quickly, provide appropriate warmth during those critical first hours, and continue caring for these vulnerable animals while meeting my work responsibilities.
A portable incubator isn't simply a convenience—it would be an important piece of life-saving equipment for the wildlife in my care.
