Linda began her animal rescue volunteer work at a cat and dog rescue but when she began volunteering at the Audubon Nature Center, she noticed the shortage of wildlife rehabbers, specifically migratory bird rehabbers. Linda received her permits and began caring for waterfowl. She now specializes in orphaned wood ducks using protocols started by Michele Goodman that have completely reversed mortality rates for these orphaned babies. Now in her 13th year of rehabbing, Linda also trains other rehabbers using these techniques. In addition to the ducks, Linda also rehabs bats. She co-authored a manual about helping bats with White Nose Syndrome. It's a free download right here:
