Year's ago Sonja found an Osprey and brought it to Nature World. The director, who triaged the bird, had Sonja jump right in to help. That's all it took. Sonja was hooked and has been with the rescue ever since. Following a car accident, she was unable to continue in her profession but, she says, as life gives you lemons you make lemonade! Her father passed away not long after her accident which left her to care for her mom with Alzheimer's. Doing the rehabbing allows Sonja to do what she loves and take her mom along with her, all while helping animals at the same time.
