This incubator campaign was for the TLC-40 Eco Series II Baby Warm model

$640 of $640 raised

Growing up, I was always the kid with pockets full of frogs and a knack for spotting lizards no one else could see. I shared my life with a menagerie of pets, from the typical dogs and cats to more unconventional companions like hamsters and parakeets, and I always felt a deep connection with animals. Still, it wasn’t until adulthood that I found my way into wildlife rehabilitation—and it all started with a baby opossum.

While working at a veterinary clinic, someone brought in an injured young opossum. No one quite knew what to do with it, but something in me clicked. I offered to care for the baby, not knowing it would spark a complete shift in my life. That one opossum opened the door to a world I hadn’t known I belonged in until I stepped through.

Since then, opossums have held a special place in my heart. They’re misunderstood, underappreciated, and absolutely incredible creatures. Rehabbing them—and other wildlife—has become one of the most meaningful parts of my life. I’ve dedicated myself to learning, improving, and giving these animals the second chances they deserve.

Rehabilitation is never easy, and it's rarely glamorous, but it's deeply rewarding. Each successful release is a quiet victory. Each tiny life saved matters. With the right tools—like a BabyWarm incubator—I can give critical care to the most vulnerable animals during their first days in rehab. Having this resource would allow me to stabilize fragile neonates and give them the warmth and security they need to thrive.

I rehab wildlife because I believe they deserve compassion, care, and a chance to return to the wild. That belief started with one tiny opossum—but it’s grown into a calling.
