Amanda grew up on a farm in Michigan and always tried to save every injured or orphaned animal she found. After a firefighter friend rescued a bat from a burning building, Amanda was introduced to the world of wildlife rehabilitation. She started volunteering for a raptor group and eventually obtained her license to rehabilitate animals on her own. She now cares for raccoons, squirrels, opossums and rabbits, and she's hoping to move to a larger location where she can expand her facilities to rehabilitate even more species. When Amanda's not helping animals, she helping to heal humans through her work as a massage therapist. She's filled with joy when she can help another - be it human or another animal species.
