My path to becoming a wildlife rehabilitator was shaped by a lifelong appreciation for animals, sparked by my experiences with family pets and my first job at a cat shelter. Influenced by my grandfather and stepfather, I developed a deep respect for the complexities of wildlife, often finding peace in the woods where I could connect with nature. My wife, a former zookeeper and trained service dogs, later shifted her focus to wildlife rehabilitation, which further fueled my dedication to this important work.
