I saw a post asking for someone to help a couple starlings a few years ago. I went and picked them up, learning from a friend with experience. I took two more that summer, and released all 4 healthy birds. Last summer I wanted to do it again so I offered to help any I saw who needed it. We had a slightly larger group. This year, I decided to go all in and obtained a subpermitted rehabber license, put my phone number out to the rehab world, and decided to take house sparrows as well. I have already had around 75 birds come through and currently have just over 50.
