I got into wildlife rehab because caring for animals has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. When I was just six years old, I helped raise a baby raccoon, and that experience sparked my compassion and curiosity for wildlife.

Last year, I took that passion further by fostering opossums through The Pipsqueakery, working alongside Katie Lo. Through that hands-on experience, I gained practical rehab skills like feeding, monitoring health, and helping prepare animals for release.

For me, getting into rehab wasn’t a sudden decision—it’s something that’s grown naturally over time. What started as a childhood experience has turned into something I genuinely care about and actively pursue.
