For the past 20 years, I’ve dedicated my life to caring for orphaned wildlife. It all began one night when a friend found a nest of newborn raccoons after their mother had been struck by a car. Not knowing where else to turn, she called me because she knew I had grown up caring for wildlife on our family farm. With the local wildlife center closed for the weekend, I brought the babies home, placed them on a heating pad, and began caring for them. Looking at those tiny, defenseless raccoons, I realized this was more than just helping animals in need — it was my calling. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to create a wildlife rescue center dedicated to giving orphaned and injured animals a second chance. I truly love all animals, big and small, and caring for them has always been where my heart feels most at home.
