How will this additional incubator help?
Every year, I care for orphaned wildlife babies. Some are rabies-vector species babies, especially raccoons. These newborns are incredibly fragile and completely dependent on stable warmth and humidity to survive their first weeks of life.
An incubator isn’t a convenience — it’s a lifeline.
Right now, my setup is limited and unreliable given the number and condition of babies coming in. Even small temperature or humidity changes can cause serious complications for neonates, and frequent handling to correct those issues increases stress on the animals and risk for the rehabilitator.
A new, dedicated incubator would allow me to:
Provide consistent, safe warmth and humidity for newborn raccoons and other wildlife
Reduce handling, keeping babies calmer and safer
Improve survival rates during the most critical stage of care
Continue providing responsible, high-quality care to high-need species
This incubator would directly support the lives of animals with no other options — newborns that cannot survive without human intervention. Your support helps ensure they get the best possible start toward recovery and eventual release back into the wild.
