I have been working in the veterinary medicine field as a vet tech for roughly 8 years now and found I have a passion for caring for wildlife. Unfortunately, the area I live in did not have a licensed rehabber, so I took it upon myself to seek out training and education to become a rehabber. I traveled from Michigan to Maine to take the basic rehab course for wildlife and passed the exam. I am just currently waiting for my property to be approved by the DNR, but am able to rehab animals under my veterinary clinic. I have found it both challenging and rewarding to care for the animals most people deem unworthy or unloved. Every creature deserves the chance to live and if I can help them have a second chance at that, I will. My mission for my lifetime is to help as many animals as possible, and this is just another step toward my ultimate goal.
