I started volunteering for a animal shelter when i was 13, then moving onto fostering and rescuing kittens when i was 18, I then volunteered for one of the only rehabs in Nova Scotia Canada, Hope for Wildlife. I learned about almost every animal when there, and applied that to rescuing neonatal kittens. Once i got to Virginia, USA, I decided i wanted to take it a step further and help all of the wildlife around me. It started with me working at a vet clinic that would occasionally take birds, and i decided to handrear a European Starling. That confirmed that i wanted to become a wildlife rehabilitator, and i am currently aiming to become certified in both Small mammal and Songbirds.
